Viima is the Finnish word for strong, cold wind or draft. The Viima pullover is a stylish and warm cable sweater that shields you from the cold weather. The Viima pullover has a beautiful and classic cable pattern on the front, the back and the sleeves that flows into a 2x2 ribbing on the neckband, cuffs and hem.
The Viima pullover is knitted seamlessly in one piece from the top down, with well-thought and polished details such short-row shaping for the front and back neck and the tubular bind off for the cuffs and the hem. All techniques and steps are explained in the pattern.
The pattern is written for worsted weight yarn, but you can also use a combination of fingering weight yarn and a strand of silk mohair for added luxury.
